Photographer's Note
Eymet is a commune in the Dordogne department in Aquitaine in southwestern France. A bastide town, Eymet is situated in the Périgord region, on the river Dropt.
The Bastide was founded in 1270, by Alphonse de Poitiers, Count of Toulouse and brother of Louis IX of France. It still retains the remains of its feudal chateau and arcaded square.
The village is situated at the extreme south of the Department of Dordogne on the CD933 between Bergerac and Marmande. It is around 20 km south of Bergerac, and around 100 km east of Bordeaux.
It is notable as a popular location for British expatriates living in France, who account for a third of the local population. British television viewers may remember seeing the town and some of its residents in the ITV1 programme 'Little England', a series of reality TV programmes describing the life of various ex-pat UK citizens now living in the Dordogne, with an emphasis on Eymet. The first series of twelve episodes was first shown shown in autumn 2011. A second shorter series was broadcast in 2012.

Ha, Ha, Stephen, the gent with the newspaper is definitely welcoming us into the shot!
A fine viewpoint gives us two modes of attack; I obviously followed the human interest and went right, thinking about the opportunity for sharing breakfast! It was only when I then looked to the left, that I noticed the no entry sign. Honestly, it didn't affect my decision!
Good sharpness throughout.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Stephen
J'aime le point de vue qui nous montre les deux rues qui se croisent. J'aime l'atmosphère qui se dégage. Le grand calme. Le temps de lire son journal en paix. Je ne suis pas sur au niveau de la texture dans le haut de la photo.
Amicalement

hi Stephen,
I like the strange angle that this little cafe is at, it looks as if its so old, its beginning to lean significatly, giving it great character. Looks like a really nice place for a break while snapping this beautiful little town. I like the red sign too, nice color contrast against the soft pastel of the buildings.
All the best!

Hi Stephen,
The subject is well framed. The point of view is showing a double perspective of the architecture of the Cafe de Paris. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.
