I took this image early in the morning on a rainy day.
There was a slight mist hanging over the 1000 year old Abbey. This image won a best of show award in a international photo salon in Calgary Canada.
The camera I used was a Mamiya 645 with a standard 80mm lens. The film was Kodak TMAX 100 developed in D76 1:1.

Welcome to TE!! A great photo for your 1st posting. I'm a big fan of B&W, so this caught my eye. The heavy mist fits well with this ancient site. You've got a nice POV that makes the shot.

Very beautiful photo here, Franz. The composition is nice in the B&W option as the point of view.
Very well done.

Frans: Very good composition, it looks great in B&W, reflection in the water and the mist above adds a lot to the photo. Nicely done.

The black and white treatment works really well here, bringing out the misty mood. And the point of view with reflections in the water is just right. Looks like a wonderful place.

A super black and white, with the clarity of detail that only medium format can deliver! The misty atmosphere is great and the whole scene has a nice old world feel about it. A lovely image.

And welcome on TE!
Lovely atmospheric picture...
I have changed the location because it must be: Brantome instead of: Bantrome.
