I decided to hide the sun in the lamp post to prevent to get a flare on my objective. I absolutly wanted to get the stretched shadows.

Excellent daily life and street photography. I like the placement of the sun, it seems like the light is left on during daytime. The long shadows of the pedestrians are well captured as well. Good against the light photography. Thanks for sharing.

I like this compo, Claude, with the inclusion of the incoming long shadows and the exact position of the sun, well achieved the difficult exposure, cheers :) Daniel

una luce non facile, m ben gestita, molto bello l'effetto delle ombre.

Sympa ce post: l'idée me plaît. D'abord le placement en contre-jour, l'apport des ombres qui se projetent sur la diagonale et la petit touche qui fait la différence: le soleil placé au niveau de la lampe du lampadaire.

You certainly have very powerful street lamps! But the effects are indeed very good here, the long shadows stretch out towards the corners, a very good observation and a splendid capture.

well done, I love shots into the sun and getting it perfect like this is so difficult. The atmosphere and shadows here are wonderful in this original and beautifully creative image. Love it!

This is a delightful shot, very well executed.
Your composition is excellent, the couple walking diagonally across the frame and balanced nicely by the tall lamppost on the left. You have managed the contre jour (as we say in English!) exposure perfectly and with little or no evidence of any lens flare: I always seem to be plagued with lens flare when I try shooting into the light like this!
Fabulous light management, fine colours, perfect exposure and excellent details and sharpness.

Thanks to your kee eyes, a challenging shot into strong light then transformed it into something special artistically. Lovely to view when the striking projected long shadows fill the frame diagonally occupying the fg. The choice of pov is apt with excellent hint of background. Lovely rim lights too. Indeed flawless work as always. Congrats and thank you.

I like this scene very much, it looks like a quick and timely capture but it's a well planned and successful composition. You have created great dynamism and graphism in this setting, both with the fixed characteristics of the place and with the shadows. There's stunning depth in the narrow frame and the cityscape is meaningful and interesting. I absolutely love the way you associated the lamp with the brilliant sunlight and how the shadows extend across the foreground. Superb work, congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a good night,
