Photographer's Note

It's a small part of a well known monument in Bordeaux: le monument des Girondins.
Built between 1894 and 1904 with a 43m high column having a bronze statue of 11 m of a woman, 2 fountains with bronze horses and human. They were sold for 30 francs/kg to the german to be transformed in guns, but they disappear in 1943. They have been found in Angers long after the war end, and transported back in Bordeaux where they have been reinstalled in 1982.
