Photographer’s Note
This little old village, called La Roque-Gageac (name comes from an old Gallo-Roman personality - Gaius) is one of the most pleasant places in Perigord - France. In the upper part of the rock wall, old fortifications are still visible.
The picture was taken from the gardens of a nearby castle.

What a nice place! It reminds me of Poitiers!
It's a pity the rock is a bit over-exposed in some places. I know why: you took the picture at 14:15 when the sun was too intense. A solution could be to take an underexposed photo and later add some light in the darkest areas. I don't have the software to do it (I think they call it brightness curves or something) but you have Photoshop!
Nevertheless, good photo, and I surely would like to go there!
Francisco
