Photographer's Note
Villard-de-Lans belongs to the Regional Natural Park of Vercors. The town is situated at the foot of the Great Flycatcher second summit of Vercors, culminating at 2285 m.
The ground karst Villard-de-Lans promotes the infiltration of water, where the absence of natural lakes. However, Villard-de-Lans has a seasonal pond, Lake Lauzet, which fills by capillary snowmelt.
The 45th parallel passes on the southern boundary of the town (at the end of the path Poureton) that separates the territory of the commune of Chateau-Bernard and Corrençon-en-Vercors
