a new picture taken last wenesday at 8:PM ... a big storm comes in the Alps and i try to take the first lights before the shower ...

This is one of them above the Bourget Lake in Savoie ...

thta a lovely capture of this action in the sky which lso makes the entire city seem so small. nice textures and a superlative pov, great compsotition clicked in the nick of time

Wow, not easy to take this one; capturing a lightning needs patience, and some of them even more. Also the lights of the villages are perfect in this scene. Well done, chris

Superbe cette prise de vue longue durée ou de nombreux éclairs se sont donnés rendez vous. La ville en dessous semble écrasée par le déchainement des éléments

Impressive shot Antoine. It takes a fair bit of anticipation and luck to capture this type of action. You have to know where to point the camera, use a wide angle lens hope for the best, and you have captured the best.

When you took the shot did you experience multiple lightning strikes or is this just one event?

Bravo pour ce cliché riche en composition (lac, montagne, ville et bien sur éclairs).
Je vois que tu as plus de chance que moi pour poster une photo d'orage. Moi cela fait deux jours que j'essaye mais elle est régulièrement supprimée. Je réessaye demain...
En tous cas encore bravo !

Bonjour Antoine !

Verel Pragondran, trés beau petit belvédère et départ de parapentes, faute de pouvoir toujours être toujours tout en haut d'un sommet alpin ;-)
Je me rapelle de cet orage impressionnant, mais j'étais trop bas, avant que les trombes d'eau n'arrivent, pour voir aussi bien les éclairs (vers le parcours sportif au-dessus de Chambéry)...
Ta photo est trés belle, Le lac en contre plongé, la dent du chat en ombre chinoise, les lumières d'Aix et biensûr ces monstrueux éclairs, des intras plus un impact Woawwwwwwwwwh !!!!
