Photographer's Note

From the Veyou , the highest peak of the mountain of the three "Becs" (burners) Saou forest deploys its fall colors. A superb long hike and from the summit a magnificent view of the Alps from Dévoluy mountains to the Ardeche mounts.
The forest of Saou nestles at the bottom of what geologists call a "Synclinal Perché", which is a phenomenon that seems rare enough.
In fact, for non-geologists, the mountain hosts the Saou forest look like a 8.1 M long huge ship stretching from the "Roche Colombe" (2 624 f) to the Three Becs (5 193 f) the lowest part of the forest is 1 509 f.
This forest, protected from the rest of the world, is rich in trees of different species and rare insects. It is a very dense forest and during summer the sun does not penetrate. The trail passes through deep gorges and helping the imagination, it feels to walk in another strange world and to meet an elf or a fairy would appear unexceptional.
A picture whose quality is not perfect, I hesitated to post but the goal is also to "know the world", I wanted to bring this exceptional site to you.
