Life On Mars? Photo

Photographer’s Note

David Bowie wondered if there was life on Mars and I think we're about to find out with this shot of...the 'Salle 3000' in Lyon.
Designed by architect Renzo Piano, this flying-saucer- look alike of an amphitheater (more general view here) is located in the 'Cité Internationale de Lyon' neighborhood. It is a versatile venue that can welcome up to 3220 seats.
So you realize there's a lot of fun ahead if you ever pass this by with a camera...

Must really be a fun to makes photos over there! Definitely!
And it is also fun to watch your photo, especially scrolling the image up and down gives a dizzying effect. So minimal and catchy!

Not today but I believe one day we'll be setting summer vacations on Mars Resort :)
Title best fits the compo, narrow lines of the structure creating a 3D illusion to my eyes.
I also like the window with light behind the lines.

Une telle image, et en plus, la référence à Bowie... Là, tu nous gâtes ;o)

Très beau cadrage autour de cette impressionnante structure. C'est certainement une source d'inspiration sans fin !
On sent que cette composition est bien réfléchie.
Les diagonales sont parfaites et très dynamiques, vraiment bien fait.
Les deux touches de rouges apportent un peu d'éclat dans la froideur métallique, excellent.
Bravo pour avoir su isoler cette intrigante image.

Bonjour Philippe,

J avais deja vu sur TE des photos de l exterieur, mais c est la premiere fois que j en vois de l interieur. Avec un cadrage comme celui ci retirant toute reference, c est diablement futuriste. Ca justifie bien le titre qui va surement faire plaisir a Karine (je l ai mise au defis de faire un post avec un titre d une chanson de Carlos, mais j ai rien vu venir pour le moment).
Les zones colorées orangées et bleues donnent une belle assise a la composition.
Du joli boulot quoi.

Je me suis bien amusée ici mais n'avons toujours pas posté. J'aime beaucoup le cadrage serré et les points focaux crées par les supports et lumières?. L'effet de distorsion est superbe.

Ouah!, j'en ai les yeux qui clignotent!
J'avoue que je préfère de loin cette réalisation que notre Beaubourg parisien.
Tu as parfaitement composé ton image avec les trois piliers très bien placés et ces petites notes orange pour éclairer et casser le rythme des lignes.
Bravo!
et bravo pour tes 200 (il me semble que c'est ta 200e!)

Un graphisme très élégant avec un cadrage dynamique, un superbe rendu des matières, une lumière bien controlée et j'aime beaucoup le jeu des lignes qui rende l'ensemble très percutant, du très joli travail, bravo à toi et bon WE!
