Photographer’s Note

This photograph of cows, of which I do not know the race exactly, was taken in the commune of Corveissiat.

As you can note it, the white frost had not disappeared from the day.

A little history on this commune which dominates the Valley of Ain and which offers sympthic points of view on this one.

The commune of Corveissiat which absorbed in 1944 that of SAINT-MAURICE Of ECHAZEAUX (of the CHASAUX) and in 1964 that of ARNANS, had been cut down by the hamlet of RACOUSE and had been attached to GRAND-CORENT in 1853.
It now forms a vast territory which lengthens since the limit of the department of the Jura in north, the
stopping and the viaduct of CIZE-BOLOZON in the south. In the west, the commune is limited by the plate of Arnans and the coast of Fay which culminates with 668 meters in the East, by the river of Ain
which these cliffs dominate of almost 200 meters.

For more information, I send you on this site which is rather complete: CORVEISSIAT - REVERMONT
