Brévent: into space., a photo from Rhone Alpes, South

Photographer's Note

Brévent (2525 meters) is a vertex located at the southern end of the Aiguille Rouge in the department of Haute-Savoie .

Despite its relatively low altitude, it is very popular destination for hikers for its location above the valley of the Arve and the panorama it offers on the Mont Blanc , probably one of the most beautiful in the region.

It is accessible by cable car since 1930 .

Currently, a cable car linking Chamonix-Mont-Blanc to the middle station Planpraz . From there a cable joined the summit via cable without Brévent pylon.
Thus one of the ski areas closest to the center of Chamonix.

Ces deux minuscules cabines en équilibre dans le vide paraissent bien fragiles (je me souviens que je n'étais pas très fier là dedans!)dans cette immensité montagneuse. J'aime bien la photo du WS qui me semble encore plus impressionnante.

Merci pour les bons coins indiqués, ça peut toujours servir. La photo est spectaculaire, en particulier à cause des cabines suspendues dans le vide, à un fil, si j'ose dire. Bon ws également. Bravo.
