I was slowing down looking at the spectacular Provence landscape, then I stopped when I saw this couple of photographers, apparently from the South East ..... of the world.
Have you this kind of gear?

C'est la tecnique du début du 20ème siècle ! Ils sont bien équipés , il y a même l'escabeau ...
En tous cas , le paysage est très joli , et méritait bien une photo .

Hee, hee! This is brilliant!

I have seen photographers use a stool or a set of steps when trying to take photographs in a crowded place in a city but I've never seen this in the countryside!

You have caught this humourous situation very well indeed and the background view of the lovely colourful fields is beautiful. And very good quality too considering that this was scanned from a 17 year old 35mm colour slide!

Lovely vibrant colours, perfect exposure and excellent details and sharpness.

this photo is just so different from all the others pictures of Provence's fields. The idea was splendid! I like it a lot, mostly for the unique way of showing this beautiful place. Except that, the composition and colors are superb.

Elle m'amuse beaucoup cette photo. Comme souvent tes posts d'ailleurs.
J'ai l'impression d'être 150 ans en arrière avec une chambre et des plaques photos en verre.
C'est technique la photo ;-)
Mais j'apprécie aussi le beau paysage en arrière plan. Il faudra un jour que je me décide à prendre ma voiture pour aller par là bas, ce n'est pas si loin de Grenoble.

as usual a great shot, but at least i can criticize this one.
the only thing i don't like is the DOF is too shallow and having the background blurred looses something for me.
love the colours, the framing and the subject matter.

Thanks for telling me. Now I know I need some little steps, and anorak, a wobbly tripod and a big hoodie! The background is certainly spectacular, and would make (probably did make?) an excellent photograph in its own right, but the inclusion of this couple have made this something else entirely, and has added a note of eccentric comedy.

Très marrant. Comme le dis Yves, on a l'impression qu'il est en train de prendre une photo avec un vieil appareil à soufflet. En tout cas, le paysage à l'arrière plan est splendide et on comprend qu'ils ne veuillent pas rater la photo!

un peu d'humour dans cette photo, car beaucoup de détails pour prendre une photo, l'escaleau, pour éviter le soleil et une prise de vue de ce champ de lavande avec cet arbre et nos deux "compères"

Sault...voila un endroit où il va falloir que je retourne....
un tres beau paysage pour cette "mise en scene"...ces japonais ont des vetements assortis au decors...trop forts!! et toi encore plus d"avoir su immortaliser ce moment historique!!

Ta photo est certainement plus intéressante que celle de ces photographes :). Les couleurs sont très belles et il y a une atmosphère très Provence dans la photo, peut-être due à la lavande.

la qualité de l'image et des couleurs en cette diapositive scannée maintient un grand niveau, et confirme que le film Fuji était formidable. Je l'utilisais aussi.
J'aime la scène que tu as captée ici, avec cette couple de photographes absolument original, en essayant de capter la beauté des champs de lavande provençales.

Hello Claude - This shot really appeals to me. To my mind, it refers back to the Impressionist painters, not only the gorgeous colours and fields of flowers and golden wheat but also a nod to the painters who were often included in the paintings. Here we see no straw hats or easels but a modern look at the contemporary 'artists'. Fine work with wonderful vibrant colour. Warm regards Rosemary

On est vraiment très, très loin du numérique et de ses rafales… C'est vraiment un très joli portrait avec de magnifiques couleurs de la nature en accord avec les vêtements des personnages.
J'ai photographié un tel couple, certes sans le tabouret, Mme posant devant M. à la pointe de la torche il y a quelques mois…

C'est vrai qu'ils sont souvent petits, d'où, peut-être, l'escabeau...? De vrais acharnés en tous cas! Et en plus ils t'ont permis une prise sympathique avec un superbe paysage discernable au fond.
