Photographer’s Note

a quiet street in Saint Rémy de Provence as the other streets were busy (day of the market)
i like the well matched colours in particular some blue colours even on the clothes of the walking woman... a snapshot, after this I took my time to get another framing (but the woman was gone...)

Superbe ruelle entre ombre et lumière. Cette composition lumineuse est un vrai plaisir à regarder : on se sent transporter pour profiter de la douceur de vivre du sud. Merci du voyage !
Très belle gestion de la luminosité, jamais évident dans ces rues étroites, et magnifiques couleurs représentatives de la région.
Beau travail, bravo.
Après avoir regardé l'autre version, j'avoue avoir un faible pour le cadrage proposé sur TL. L'accent mis sur la belle boutique originale à droite est très bien vu.

Hi Jonathan.

A wonderful street scene. Quiet, but colourful, and superbly composed around the gently curving lane. I'm sure you have removed lens distortion, and it looks really good. Good capture of the woman in the bottom right corner. Her clothes and the ones hanging behind her add a lovely splash of colour. Very good exposure of both light and shade. Nicely done.

Jonathan, c'est une rue d'un village du midi comme on les aime. De la lumière, de l'ombre et des couleurs plus une passante qui retient l'attention, tout cela fait une excellente photo.

Jo, great shot, the shadow control is fantastic and the color and composition are perfect. This is the type of scene I see in my mind when I day dream about Europe. Well seen and presented.

Bonjour Jonathan,

je préfère le cadrage de ta composition publiée sur TL. Non pas que la personne me gêne dans le champ, mais c'est la vitrine du premier plan qui me parait moins esthétique dans cette rue.

The strolling young woman adds a human touch to the image. The roadway, curving away and converging represents an excellent example of one-point perspective.

Comme j adore les photo de ruelle, je suis obligé de m arerter sur celle ci...J aime beaucoup le POV et le virage qui permet de ne pasvoir le bout....J adore ça !
Photo colorée avec cette personne au 1er plan qui colle le magasin de vetement (coloré)....j adore (mais je me repete la)

Really lovely scene....and both shots are great. But yes, this one has the woman and her clothes. Scenes such as these look so wonderfully European, and very different from anything we would see in Canada. Very beautiful indeed, and of course the vertical framing is perfect. Nice work! cheers,

charmante la touriste sur la photo, bof pour la ruelle non je déconne, rue bien typique de provence avec cette lumiére du sud qui donne ce charme que l'on connait, je suis un peu chauvin il me semble,
