La Fontaine entre deux rues, a photo from Provence-Alpes-Cote-dAzur, South

Photographer's Note

Comme dans de nombreux villages de Provence, les fontaines font parti intégrante de la vie de Pernes qui deviendra par ailleurs en 1936 Pernes les Fontaines.

C'est la découverte de la source St Roch qui va permettre aux habitants d'acheminer l'eau dans chaque quartier du village, mettant ainsi la population à l'abri des problèmes de sécheresse.

C'est ainsi qu'on compte aujourd'hui pas moins de 40 fontaines publiques.

Hello Christiane,
you found such beautiful corner of this town.The old fountain,but also its surrounding with so charming,old architecture and a lot of greenery around makes very pleasant atmosphere.Excellently composed and zoomed scene.It has superb clarity,contrast and delightful,warm colors.Lovely place!

You made a good choise by including the surrounding area of this fountain, Christiane.
Without the arial view, I'd say this would look just vividless.
Inspite of low light, managed good details to watch.

The old fountain worn by wind and rain makes an excellent focal point. I like the symmetrical composition that shows this corner of the village to good effect. Very good rendering of the tones and textures in the old stones.

Hello Christiane.
A delightful street junction with a lovely old fountain. You chose a fine viewpoint and included sufficient sky to add brightness and life. You must have done some delicate post processing to bring out the detail in the shaded scene, to which the foliage adds good colour variation.

Votre photo a les couleurs d'œuvres de Lawrence Alma Tadema! Belle! Refroidir le jaune avec le vert! Il est également intéressant sont les deux gousses de ciel bleu sur les côtés!

A rustic looking village but not lack of its own charm with the fountain strategically located. The view invites us to explore both ways. The colosr and light are subtle, the blue sky makes this even more stands out. Well done shot, TFS.
