Unfortunately I didn’t have my tripod with me for this shot, so I did the best I could handheld…opened up the aperture as wide as it would allow, boosted the ISO to the maximum and stood as still as possible in the middle of the tracks. Certainly not one of the best technical pictures, but one I wanted to share anyway.
The seven resin statues on Place Massena were created by Jaume Plensa, Spanish artist specialized in monumental art.
These seven characters represent seven continents and the communication between the different communities of today’s society. The name of this creation is “Conversation à Nice”. The statues are illuminated every night, colors change smoothly to emulate a dialog between them. I found it to be very intriguing and almost mesmerizing to watch.

nice the night view of the place with the lights and the road to creates depth in the scene. The seven resin statues are well seen to stand on the top of the columns.

Hand-held beautiful night scene, Jason.
Stedy hand you have, nock-wood.
Nice juxtaposition lamp-posts and statues, DOF and good clarity on.
Fine shot, but you stayed too long on the trucks...

Considering that you have taken this night photo without tripod id is of good quality.
It is good to carry tripod and remote control for night photo shooting. I like the view along the statues and also the almost symmetrical composition.

Nice perspective with this street taken in the night, good effect with lights, the sharpness is a bit just.

Okay, perhaps not your best technical pictures,
but it's a lots times better than the most
pictures I see go past as favorite on the homepage.
Point of view, the light management and the
composition are great and it shows very good the
