The City Hall (Hôtel de Ville) designed by Marseille architect Pierre Puget and built in 1656. It was the only building to survive the World War II bombings in the port (Vieux Port)

I was many times in Marseille and remember this place. I'm glad to see this photo.
I have mixed feelings about this town . One of french poet said "Marseille is like courtesan - sometimes I love but sometimes I hate her" :-)
Huge town with beautiful monuments, gardens... but this city has a dark side, arab district and crime. marseille is different town than most french town
but worth to see it!
