In Crillon-le-Brave, The SAINT ROMAIN parochial CHURCH, of Romanesque style, XVth XIXth centuries.

We can read inside the church the epitaph to Louis de Balbes de Berton said the "Brave Crillon" that Henri IV called "le meilleur Capitaine du monde", the best Captain of the world: «Henri IV l'aima, les pauvres le pleurèrent», Henri IV liked him, poor people mourned him.

CRILLON-LE-BRAVE is a French commune located in the department of Vaucluse, of the area Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, populated of 452 Crillonnais in 2009, divided on 7.6 km², that is to say 59.2 hab./km².

The village is mentioned for the first time in the 12th century.

Bonjour Joel,

L'église est très belle et très nette . Elle forme une belle diagonale dans l'image. Mais ce qui frappe le plus, c'est le mouvement des nuages dans le ciel.

The square format suits perfectly, resulting in a pleasantly balanced composition. The interesting sky with its scudding clouds makes an excellent backdrop for the architecture. Superb rendering of the tones and textures under a good light. Bon dimanche.

A very good POV with the line along the roof as a diagonal leading to the spire of the church. A very pleasant and well balanced composition and a note with many interesting links. The two complementary pictures are equally enjoyable.

Une architecture qui est impressionnante. La prise de vue permet de distinguer les détails et les couleurs de l'architecture de l'église et de l'immeuble. Le ciel nuageux donne un bon contraste aux couleurs de l'image. Bon dimanche.

Bonsoir Joël,

Le village, perché en hauteur, doit offrir un panorama de tout premier ordre ! L'église et les maisons, bien rénovées, forment un bel ensemble architectural, autour d'une place où l'olivier doit offrir un peu d'ombre en été... Bon angle de vue !

Très bonne composition avec cette diagonale marquant la corniche de l'église, la convergence avec le plan vertical donne la tour, le coin est magnifique, tout en pierre qui donne une construction de qualité. Très joli et original, le sommet de la tour de la cloche.
Bonne netteté, mais cette fois, le soleil n'a pas été t'ai accompagnée, couleur très naturelle et la netteté comme toujours bien entretenu.

the blues and light browns make an attractive set up.
you do very well with these subjects.
sharp, clean, with excellent exposure levels.
