Photographer’s Note
About the place:
Same day as the previous post in Cannes, along the "vieux port" (old harbour) in front of the Town Hall and down Le Suquet quarter (old town).
It was sunset, few minutes before the opening of the NRJ Music Awards 2008, which takes place at the Palais des Festivals in the exact same place where the Film Festival takes place every year in May. These Awards look like the MTV ones but in French...This year you could have seen there: Tokio Hotel, Rihanna, James Blunt, Celine Dion...
In fact it's not the NRJ Music Awards that bring them in Cannes but the MIDEM, a business fair for producers, artists, etc.
About the pic:
I love small harbours mood at sunset, when it people are leaving the city to reach their home...you begin to hear clearer the tinkling of boats armatures...very peaceful, very moody...
I left Cannes, my home town when I was 20 and missed this kind of moments for some years as I had to make a living in Paris. Now I'm back and enjoy the most I can!
Feelings:
The Mood I have looking at this pic makes me think of the following lyrics by James Blunt "Goodbye my lover":
"...It may be over but it won't stop there,
I am here for you if you'd only care.
You touched my heart you touched my soul.
You changed my life and all my goals.
And love is blind and that I knew when,
My heart was blinded by you.
I've kissed your lips and held your head.
Shared your dreams and shared your bed.
I know you well, I know your smell.
I've been addicted to you.
Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me...
...I've watched you sleeping for a while.
I'd be the father of your child.
I'd spend a lifetime with you.
I know your fears and you know mine.
We've had our doubts but now we're fine,
And I love you, I swear that's true.
I cannot live without you.
Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me..."

Hi Prisley, this is such a bautiful sunset so original. All this chain of lights, very different in colour but however in the same tons is surprising.

Hi Prisley,
i really like what you did here. Instead of just another sunset capture with a view over beautiful (or maybe not) bay you rather captured the mood of feeling this place. Eventhough I cannot see it, through your capture I can easily imagine it as most lovely and warm place, place were we can calmly accompany sun to sets down and wellcome the night. It is most beautiful abstract and impressive capture.
Kind regards,
Jeri

Bravo, j'aime beaucoup

Hi Pris,
Can't stand that Blunt guy myself, but nevermind... came
here to actually say that I love this photo (now browsing
to see what happened since those mussles...) with
an excellent use of bokeh effect to create a certain feeling, a
certain mood you talking about in your note.
Very dreamy!
