Sur la croisette à Cannes au petit matin, un homme seul qui rentre chez lui, je suppose. Peut-être a-t-il passé la nuit avec une femme. J'aime imaginer la vie des inconnus que je croise ou que je vois sur des photos.

what an artistic photo. quite minimalistic with the partial desaturation and open to readings with the leaving man and empty chairs.

Stylish minimalism that reminds me of the work of Otiun, one of my favourite posters here.
Not 100% sure about the added value of that slight touch of blue left. I think the picture would work just as well, perhaps even better in plain bl/w. And, if you allow me to be picky (I hope you do): there's a slight tilt at the horizon too.
Still, even with those remarks, it rises above the vast majority of the posts and stands out. A very pleasing aesthetic picture.

a nice one indeed... Like the framing... Like the artistic presentation. I think the blue hint acted superbly here. Nice PP. Love this story telling composition. Tfs.

bonjour, vincent ~
what a wonderful, moody shot you have shared with us this morning. it could be a photograph of frank sinatra in his early days, very minimal and stylish. the wet pavement's reflections only add to the mood and architectural symmetry of this shot. i like the added blue, like a watercolor brush has swept over it. and perhaps that slight upward tilt to the shot can be taken as an optimistic sign that this guy, wherever he is going, is headed in the right direction ;)

this is a lovely, quiet and sentimental picture, a fine simple composition that describes a scene from a story. I like very much the silhouettes of the two empty chairs and the man walking out of the frame and towards another dimension, away from our judgement. I also like that we can clearly see his face and steady look. The monochrome has some effective, distinctive layers and the subtle blue tint on the wet ground is a fine touch. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely month,
