Photographer's Note

The Old Town section of Antibes has to be one of the most relaxed locations along the French Riviera. This was taken while once again going about one of my favorite activities…wandering the streets, hoping to find something interesting away from the high tourist traffic areas. The street was lined with many art shops, local residences and made for a pleasant walk to say the least!

nice the view as the presentation of this narrow street of the old town with the plants to are climbed on the walls,making this section of the road so beautiful and unique.I like the light and the colour management as the beauty of the place.

this place is so beautiful - I would love to take a walk on this little lane. And the open shutters are lovely! Fantastic POV and very well done colors and contrast. I like silhuettes of the people in the distance, too.

Hello Jason,
A wonderful photo. I like the earth colours of the walls, and the are lightened up very gently by the sun. I also like the depth which is created by the sun, because the background is lighter than the foreground. Very detailed. The colourful flowers give the photo a sunny summerlook.

We get a nice street view, the narrow street and also the arch about the street make these picture attractive.
But I like your light management together the people and light in background.

a very pleasing site of Antibes. The quaint street with just some people in the far distance, the overgrown houses with that overpass and the open shutters all add up to a very good composition that sums the Côte d'Azur nicely up.

A wandering tourist alwys find an interesting corner, not every usual one gets to see, Jason.
Marvelous how the climber-bush cover the walls, yield to light from above. Good depth down the nice alley, blue shutters, brown door on opposite side, and the overhead rooms with window to street.

So lovely quiet backstreet, special mood of the old south Europa. I like this picture.

hi Jason,
This is what happens when you cross a magic garden with a small French town. It makes an amazing scene, and so tempting to climb inside and walk down that street to see what lies beyond. I love the idea that you go away from teh tourist places and capture these amazing scenes of every day life.
How cool it must be for a scene like to be part of every day life too. I expect a wizard lives in the house over the archway.
