Photographer’s Note

this lake is the largest moutain lake in Europe. It is located in the south east of France and its altitude is 2230m. Its water is incredibly blue and if you're patient enough, you can see many cute fat marmots running around.We slept in a moutain hut everlooking the lake and it was a wonderful thing to look at when we woke up !

Good shot.I like the prespective and the point of view.Very good colors and good contrast between them.I like the reflections in the water.Very good sky,I like the clouds and blue.Good job!

Qu'il est beau le lac d'Allos, je percois dans la photo le cri stridents des marmottes et le ruminement des chamois cassant le silence assourdissant des lieux !

Je ne sais pas quel crière vous utilisez pour définir un lac de montagne (et donc pour dire que c'est le plus haut d'Europe)... Sur le site "The highest lake" on en trouve des plus hauts en Autriche par exemple. J'en connais aussi quelques-uns en France.
En tout cas cette superbe photo donne envie de découvrir le lac d'Allos que je ne connaissais pas...

It's a very nice sight. In Poland there's a lake in Tatra Mountains called Morskie Oko (Eye Of The Sea) which has green water instead - it's also beautiful. Visit Zakopane and Tatras.
