Photographer’s Note

Toulouse (Midi-Pyrénées).

between the Capitole, the Wilson square, the Strasbourg boulevard and the Alsace-Lorraine street stands the Victor-Hugo market and car park.

The old market set around the present Esquirol square. With the big urban renovation work at the end of the XIXth century, it was closed and 2 permanent buildings were built at the Carmes square and Victor-Hugo square.

In Baltard style (like the Halles in Paris), there were destroyed in the mid-XXth century for concrete aerial car parks. The markets set on the ground floor of these 2 buildings.
