"A Reflection Off Something Other Than Water"

"Speed up David, only a few hours left to post picture to the TE Summer Hunt !". Here's what I thought when I wake up this morning :)

A few hundred meters near my home takes place a lake called "La Ramée" in Toulouse suburbs. This lake in one of the most visited places during week-ends by the inhabitants. Only one economic building is situated in this pretty natural place. And this one has an architectural design well suited to its environment, I think, and that's why I took this shot this morning. It was like a "camouflage" giving nice reflections.

I hope you'll like it.

PS : there's no cloud left in this deep blue sky. Grrr :)

"Vite David, il ne te reste que quelques heures pour poster une image dans le concours d'été de TE !". Voilà ce que je me suis dit en me levant ce matin :)

A quelques centaines de mètres de chez moi il existe un lac appelé "La Ramée" dans les environs de Toulouse. Cet endroit est l'un des plus visités durant les week-ends par les habitants de la région toulousaine. Il y a juste un seul bâtiment économique dans ce lieu à peu près naturel. Et celui-ci dispose d'un design architectural plutôt bienvenu dans cet environnement, je pense, et c'est pourquoi j'ai essayé de prendre cette photo ce matin. De belles réflexions tel un camouflage dans ce beau cadre.

J'espère que celà vous plaira.

PS : il n'y a plus un seul nuage dans ce ciel au bleu profond. Grrr :)

Quel courage ! se lever le samedi matin pour une chasse à m'image. Mais ça le valait bien :o)
j'aime beaucoup l'architecture de ce bâtiment et la compoition qui s'appuie sur 3 volumes, le bâtiment au toit arrondi, l'aile carrée du bâtiment plus ramassé et enfin le petit coin de verdure réelle. bien vu

Ce que tu as très bien camouflé, c'est le soleil David. Très bien vu, photo prise du bon côté ce qui a permis ce jeu de miroirs très joliment rapporté. Félicitations pour ton bel effort et te souhaite la palme au concours ;-)

Well done David finding another entry for the scav hunt on the last day ;-) A very clean and crisp architecture shot - the reflections are very clear and the colors are beautiful. Good shot, and a nice note.

P.S. I picked up my new D70 yesterday (and will post one of the first photos tomorrow). Great camera that will keep me busy learning and experimenting for a while :-)

Cette prise de vue me réconcilie avec l'architecture moderne. Cela tendrait à prouver que les architectes (si on leur laisse la possibilité) savent encore créer de la beauté adaptée à l'environnement.
Photo très intéressante David et parfaitement composée.
Très belles couleurs, détails, netteté tout est présent.

This is lovely, even without the clouds David. I appreciate the colors as well as the crisp details in the building. This is a nice blend of natural and graphical elements, which is very much welcomed to my eye. Is is marvelous how good quality cameras render the sky in such richness. This is a fine capture and excellent contribution to the hunt. Well done. I also very much appreciate your taking the time to offer your note both in your native language and in English. It makes the whole process of sharing opinions and feelings so much easier for those among us with only a single language. Thank you.

super interessante cette prise de vue, tellement de beaux éléments à la fois, je n'ai pas assez de mes 2 yeux,que c'est beau cet effet de miroir...les couleurs sont tres bien rendues, en effet de tres jolies reflections toutes natures,une maison de verre,humm...j'adorais visiter ces lieux...en tous les cas j'espere que tu auras toutes tes chances pour gagner...dit moi quoi stp...merci pour ta note amusante...bravo david amities Bi

L'effet de mirroir est saisissant, et l'on se demande si c'est un effet de mirroir ou de transparence.

Sometimes, you have to trust your instinct. You just don't know why but you know the photo would be good, even before you shoot it. Most photographers have this instinct and the "eye". The eye that sees the kind of photo which most people would like to see. You are getting the eye David.
