Shutters and Parallel Lines Photo

Photographer’s Note

Nothing much to say about this photograph really.

I spotted this façade whilst walking through old Rodez and was immediately struck by the multitude of shutters and, more particularly their graphic lines and those of the shadows that they cast.

Encore une composition originale. Une belle capture d'une partie de la façade avec ces six fenêtres ouvertes. Les tons sont monotones, les ombres apportant le relief nécessaire.

Nice one, Stephen, with a classic framing, very well seen, the sidelight creates graphical shadows and plays so beautifully on the shutters at different angles to the wall.

Hello Stephen. I particularly like the varying angles of the shutters, the shadows and the curtains mingled with the sky's reflection. A very well lit photo and pleasing composition, although I probably would have cropped the downpipe on the right.

Belle réalisation et très belle vue de ces étages parralèle de ce bâtiment, très jolies couleurs douces et belles fenètres avec volets en bois. les reflets dans les carreaux sont très nets aussi,les ombres des volets sur la façade donnent tout leurs effets.Belle vision de ce batiment que vous avez aimer prendre en photo.

quels reflest dans toutes ces fenêtre, très bel ensemble, le cadrage est aju millimètre, elles sont presque toutes différents, bien vu.
Avec leurs rideuax différent, une bien belle compo.

I like it for the reasons you mention in your note. The lines, angles and shadows make an appealing graphic image. I also like the reflections in one or two of the windows.

Hello Stephen,

Like a mathematical matrix, your image of the windows and shutters immediately pulls in the eyes, to "read" the matrix. It simple and elegant and composition, the colors and resolution are exquisite.
