The old windmill Lautrec ...

Lautrec, village classified among "The Most Beautiful Villages of France" is a medieval town located in the heart of the Pays de Cocagne in the department of Tarn.

Among other treasures, Lautrec, offers its visitors a beautiful windmill: the mill of La Salette, pride Lautrécois.

This mill dominates the village since 1688, a village then had ten eight windmills and watermills. In XVII sciècle Lautrec was very famous for the quality of its flour.

Restored in 1992 according to plans and techniques formerly a journeyman carpenter Lautrec, this mill, in perfect working condition, still produces flour, especially when bread festival which takes place every year on August 15th .. . provided the wind, of course ...
