Here's another pigeon house photographed in the Tarn countryside, it is located near Lautrec, ranked among the most beautiful villages in France. The village is located exactly at the heart of the Tarn department in the Pays de Cocagne, on the road Pastel and lofts.
"Another tarnais symbol ... In rough or terracotta, brick, stone, basic, complex ... The pigeon house takes all architectures, all forms we want to give it. And Tarn lists nearly 1700 specimens. ..
The columbine is pigeon droppings which served as fertilizer for the cultivation of the vine and pastel. In the Middle Ages, the loft was custom reserved for the nobility. But in the south of France and in particular the Tarn, the right to possess a dovecote was quickly extended to all those who had enough land to feed the pigeons. Follow Route Pigeon Tarn is from the meeting of the picturesque region.
A "mule foot" on pillars, arcades, with cylindrical tower ... or timbered architecture are amazing and varied ... "

Je crois que je préfère la version verticale qui fait la part belle à ce très beau ciel surmontant le pigeonnier.
