If you go near Bagneres de Bigorre towards Cieutat you can stop in the parking lot of the small church and enjoy the beautiful landscape in the background. It was not good morning to take pictures too ... fog is little clarity on the mountain ... I'll be back!
Cieutat is a French commune of less than 600 inhabitants, located in the department of Hautes-Pyrenees Midi-Pyrenees, or formerly in Bigorre.Cette small church is situated on the D938.

like this! It looks so simple as a T/nail and yet when seen full size has a lot more going on than you realise. I love the feeling that this is perched up high this little church, and also the use of the shadow to create depth, but it is the backdrop of course that makes it so irresistible. Beautiful!
Have a great week - B.

I think it's pretty nice morning to take this picture. The light is bright yet soft. The mountains in the distance are in good visibility. It's a neat and beautiful picture.

Tres belle chapelle qui semble toute isolé au milieu de la campagne.
J aime beaucoup la chaîne de montagne en arrière plan. Dommage que celle-ci soit un peu voilé par la brume.
Ca te donnera une bonne occasion pour revenir...
Bravo a toi

Hello Jean - The large version reveals so much more lovely detail than the small and I agree with you the setting of this small church is lovely. The landscape is delicate and makes a fine backcloth to the small church. I would give a little bit more 'breathing space' at the LHS of the building as to my eye it looks a little cramped but an attractive scene in any event.

Je ne trouve pas gênant la brume sur la montagne. Cela l'est notamment moins que les cimes sont enneigées.
L'église est parfaitement net. Le cadre doit bien aider les fidèles à une bonne méditation.

Hello Jean Philippe,
I like the composition and I like the
cut: that makes the picture extra wide.
Light management is oke.

Salut Jean Philippe,
une jolie petite chapelle perdue dans la campagne... Dommage effectivement que la brume atténue la chaîne de montagne si joliment éclairée. Un beau cliché malgré tout.

Salut cher JP
You positioned the church well, to the left of the frame, allowing the eye to search for the alps in the distance on the right, which balance the frame nicely. I like the natural colour rendering, the crisp image and the breath-taking beauty. Well done, a delight for the eyes.
Warmest wishes, bonne amities
