Photographer's Note

We were checking the way following the GR10 to reach the Madamète lakes (2300m high), to come in one week with 34 persons, but we were in the clouds all the day. Hope to have a finer weather next friday! Nevertheless, a good 7 hours trek and occasion to take unusual pictures.

Bonjour Claude,

Une vue bien rafraîchissante en ce chaud dimanche en région parisienne.
J'aime particulièrement car j'ai toujours été fasciné par le brouillard.
De plus il n'est souvent pas si facile de rendre cette atmosphère en photo.
Ici la présence humaine rendue par les deux silhouettes que l'on peut entrevoir près du refuge apporte un gros plus à cette image.

The clouds in the mountain surely give a different atmosphere although you can't see what you wanted see or expected to see. I had this experience two years ago. It was like walking in heaven but I still feel like walking back on the same track to see the beautiful earth. Wonderful atmosphere. Regards. Latiff.

Superb exposure for this difficult setting. There is a Sherlock Holmes atmosphere set in Scotland in this image.

Une image rafraîchissante en ce jour de grande chaleur ! J'aimerais bien voir un peu de cette brume tomber sur Nantes maintenant ! J'aime beaucoup l'atmosphère ouatée qui se dégage de cette image. On n'a pas souvent l'idée de faire des photos dans de telles conditions, tu prouves que c'est une erreur !

heureusement qu'il y a ce refuge,comment pourraient-ils marcher dans une telle brume?En as tu profiyé toi aussi?En tout cas,ça donne une photo inhabituelle,comme tu le dis,mais aussi très douce et mystérieuse.J'aime beaucoup.

A l'heure où la montagne est endeuillée par le décès de six alpinistes en Maurienne je trouve cette photo très évocatrice d'un matin d'une journée dont on ne sait jamais ce qu'elle sera.
Très belle et bonne image minimaliste au plan photographique mais simple et vraie.

Une bien belle ambiance fantomatique et tu as bien exploité le jeu des silhouettes. Avec ce peu d'elements, cette photo parvient a nous raconter l histoire de ces randonneurs partant dans la brume.

Voila une photo pyrénéenne fidéle à mon souvenir;-)
une ambiance plutot humide avec un brouillard à couper au couteau...mais c'est si beau en photo!!

Love the simplicity of this shot, a dreamlike atmosphere and so mystical and magical feel at the same time. The picture has quite a lonely feel to it. Good placement of main subjects and the heavy mist just glimpses throught creating a soft image and the tones make it even more so. Nice muted misty colours and great feel to this one. A very moody shot, well captured. Congrats

I enjoy these kinds of atmospheric shots. Wonderful mood created by the thick mist, and I like that we can just make out the silhouettes of the two people and the little cottage. I find it is a strange feeling to walk through that thick mist and not being able to see anything around you for so long.
