AUCH is a french municipality, located in the department of the Gers of the Midi-Pyrénées region, populated 21792 Auscitains en 2009, distributed out of 72.5 km², that is to say 300.7 hab./km².

The city of Auch, on the banks of the Gers, is considered the capital of the former province of la Gascogne.

History of Auch.

_ The GERS has its source in the PLATEAU DE LANNEMEZAN, in the Hautes-Pyrenees department and, after 175.6 km course through a watershed of 1230 km², flows into the LA GARONNE river at Layrac in the department of Lot-et-Garonne. Description of the Gers.
