A house of the 15th, the Cathedral Square in the center of the town of Auch. Classified as an historic monument in 1932.

AUCH is a french municipality, located in the department of the Gers of the Midi-Pyrénées region, populated 21792 Auscitains en 2009, distributed out of 72.5 km², that is to say 300.7 hab./km².

The city of Auch, on the banks of the Gers, is considered the capital of the former province of la Gascogne.

History of Auch.

_ The GERS has its source in the PLATEAU DE LANNEMEZAN, in the Hautes-Pyrenees department and, after 175.6 km course through a watershed of 1230 km², flows into the LA GARONNE river at Layrac in the department of Lot-et-Garonne. Description of the Gers.

This photo is like came out from a move scene. The details of the building and the architecture are remarkable. The soft light in combination with the cloudy sky elect beautiful colours.

Hello Joel,

Après l'imposante cathédrale d'hier voilà un autre aspect de cette ville d'Auch que je ne connais pas et que tu nous donne envie de connaître.
Cette maison de briques et de bois a de la gueule on en distingue bien tous les détails de la construction et des matériaux sur les deux versants l'un au soleil l'autre plus à l'ombre.

La rue cadre bien les immeubles. La prise d evue permet de distinguer une double perspective de l'architecture de l'immeuble. La bonne luminosité met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Bonjour Joel ,
Magnifique vieille maison médiévale de cette intéressante cité . (Ca me fait penser que j'en ai une du même genre dnas la vieille ville d'Oloron , qu'il faudra que je présente) . Le cadrage et le point de vue sont tout à fait pertinents . j'aime bien le ciel gris aussi .

AH ! le plaisir de parcourir les petites rues en France et de faire ce genre de découvertes. C'est superbement conservé et bâti pour durer longtemps contrairement à nos maisons modernes.

Nice captue of this cornerhouse with typical architecture.
Most probably you have made this capture quite early in the moprning, as they are no tourists around. But the shops and cafe's ready for the next customer !

le maison est magnifique,et je regrette que toutes celles de la rue n'aient pas ce style.Il n'empêche que cette rue parait tout de même bien agréable,et que le soleil et les chaises invitent à en profiter.

Bonsoir Joël,

L'Office du Tourisme a fait d'une pierre deux coups : occuper le rez-de-chaussée d'une maison à colombages, classée Monument Historique (On ne se refuse rien à Auch !), et attirer tous les visiteurs que draine le bâtiment... Bon angle de vue, décidément cette ville recèle de bien beaux trésors !

Now THIS is architecture at its finest!
you won't see this everyday.
I also like the alley/street to the right.
and the clothing for sale is funny because we see no people around!
so much character here.

J'apprécie comment tu as choisi le bon moment pour prendre la photo : un coup de lumière, malgré un ciel couvert et hop... une fort bonne exposition.
Les vieux murs à colombage ressortent à merveille sur mon nouvel écran.

un bon cadrage dans cette composition, j'aime la perspective de la ruelle et l'atmosphère tranquille de ce village, ainsi que la beauté impressionnante de l'architecture en brique et en bois de la maison médiévale, qui est la vraie protagoniste de ta photo.

The old wooden-house looks as hanging above the narrow alley, vivid with the cafe's and other stores open.
There is excelent depth and clearity looking down the street, and superb light managed.

Hi Joel,

You're capturing well this historival arcihtecture and narrow street by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see a medieval house with brick and wood. Especially, the design of a wooden portion is interesting. And, it's impressive in a narrow shoppong street with curved line and sign at right side.
