Photographer’s Note
A short series of interior views of the Cathedral of Sainte-Cecille at Albi. Today, a detail from the magnificent painted ceiling.
The following from Wikipedea:
“It is built in the Southern Gothic Style. Notable architectural features include the bell-tower (added in 1492), which stands 78 meters tall, and the doorway by Dominique de Florence (added circa 1392).
The elaborate interior stands in stark contrast to the cathedral's military exterior. The central choir, reserved for members of the religious order, is surrounded by a roodscreen with detailed filigree stone work and a group of polychrome statues. Below the organ, a fresco of the Last Judgement, attributed to unknown Flemish painters, originally covered nearly 200 m² (the central area was later removed). The frescoes on the enormous vaulted ceiling comprise the largest and oldest ensemble of Italian Renaissance painting in France.
The cathedral organ, the work of the artist Christophe Moucherel, dates from the 18th century.”

Hello Stephen,
thanks, just the right order :-)
First: Excellent quality: sharp, well exposed with soft shadows to get an idea of the structure.
Second: Puzzling as I cannot decide if this is the right direction and my eyes always tell me that some of the writings are in the wrong way.
Third: Well framed to have different parts but close enough for details.
Questions: Did you use a flash or any other help as I know you often work with higher ISO?

This is so nice, Stephen, the straight upward shooting angle works very well here, as the lines and ornaments of the celing possess sufficient interest to entertain a viewer. very good clarity and sharpness. A lovely picture.
