ALBI >> A view of the cathedral Sainte Cecile.
But what is the story of Sainte Cecile ?
Martyr in Rome towards 232, its worship is former but seems so legendary as popular. Under the administration of the Pope Urbain, Saint Cécile would have been married in spite of her to Valérien, whom she converts in the daytime of her wedding. Christian followers in a period when to assert this faith was punished for death, Cécile, Valérien, and his brother, was condemned to be beheaded. Struck by three knocks of axe by the executioner, Cécile was left for dead woman. She(It) was dying three days, in the course of which she did not stop singing the praises of her Lord. The musicians made of this fact their patron saint.

Nice shot. The perspective gives a good idea of the massiveness and solidity of the building.
Was this cathedral built before or after the famous massacre, the Albigensian Crusade?
Seems like Albi had a bloody history.
The orders given to the soldiers entering the town were to kill everyone. When asked if they should spare the non-heretics and children, the leader said; "Kill them all. God will sort them out".
