Photographer’s Note
The Basilica of Sainte Cecile dominates Albi's skyline with an awe-inspiring presence. The splendor of its workmanship, its thousand years of history, and it's sheer size all contribute to the magic of a visitor's first glimpse of this wonder.
Interesting Facts:
* The Cathedral took two centuries to build -- from 1282 to 1480
* She is one of the most visited edifices in France.
* She is the largest brick building in the world.
The frescos on the cathedral's arched ceiling form the largest (97 meters long by 28 meters wide) work of Italian Renaissance painting to be found anywhere in France.
This photo is taken from a chamber directly behind the alter.

Hello, Mike,
Ohaa, that's a very nice shot. I like the colours very much. The light pouring down from the window and the painted walls are a very strong point.
Beautiful, very beautiful.
Nice day

Very good result for photo taken in difficult conditions - dark church interior with very bright light coming through the window.
I wonder if vertical orientation would work better here, because window is vertical. That way you would be able to fit the whole window.
The photo would benefit from some sharpening. Probably it was not sharpened after downsizing for TE.
