Photographer's Note

I think we are all attracted by a full moon - both lovers and photographers. And it is a very difficult thing to photograph. In this case it was not so much the moon as the clouds and the branches of a plane tree against the sky that caught my attention. I tried many shots and many different settings. Strangely enough, the one that looked best afterwards was this one where the moon is juxtaposed with a lamppost slightly hidden by the leaves a eucalyptus tree. This is of course all very much Mediterranean France in spring.
What one unfortunately cannot see are the ruins of the chateau Aguilar on the hilltop below the moon.
