_ The beauties of the BELLE ÉPOQUE parade with cheerfulness on the stage, and also in the streets and on the squares of GANGES, at the time of the fifth festive manifestion GANGES 1900.

_ The BELLE ÉPOQUE Time is designation, given after the First World War, at the quasi mythical period 1890-1914 which created the image of the French who like to live.

_ As at the Belle Époque, during three days people, men and women, find a little the pride and the taste to get dressed elegantly.

_ At this occasion, one reconstitutes show windows of time of the stores, a post office, a classroom where one subjects oneself the examinations of primary studies, one attends a marriage in town hall, one ressuscite defunct occupations, harnessed or mechanics transports, one extinguishes a fire with a hand pump, one sit down at the terraces of the cafés, being served by well-trained boys, one makes turns of horse-gear, one attends exhibitions, demonstrations and spectacles, like meetings of tambourin, a local sport of exchange of ball, one plays bowls, one takes part in a large banquet, one drinks, one laughs, one dances with the sound of the accordion and the barrel organ. To create environment nearly 400 volunteers rents clothing of time with which they get dressed with an unutterable pleasure.

GANGES is a french commune, located in the department of the Herault of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 4006 Gangeois in 2007, distributed out of 7,2 km², that is to say 559,5 hab/km².

Ganges is an old capital of the luxury stockings, and old capital héraultaise of silk.
The city is between the buttresses of the Cevennes and the mountain of Séranne.

Bonjour Joël,

Le sujet est bien cadré. Tu as bien saisi l'expression joyeuse des femmes. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs des costumes d'époque. La bonne luminosité rehausse les couleurs de l'image. bonne journée.

Je ferais le baise main à la belle dame du centre qui semble observer le photographe avec un intérêt soutenu.On dirait qu'un contact intime s'établit.

Salut Joel.
Une excellente idée, avec ce groupe de dames vêtues de leurs costumes d'époque, est un beau portrait dans lequel, grâce à la netteté peut admirer la conception détaillée de ces costumes qui ont marqué un style et l'humeur maintenant servir pour le festival.
De bonnes images dans le WS, un bon travail mon ami, qui recrée très bien le festival.

C'est amusant, hier après-midi je consultais des photos de mes aïeux et je les trouvais très élégants, les messieurs avec la moustache et l'air grave, les dames plus souriantes et portant des chapeaux parfois extravagants... Tu nous replonges donc, à l'occasion de cette fête joyeuse, dans l'ambiance de la Belle Epoque, avec des participantes qui, visiblement, se sont prises au jeu !

Par caprice, je voudrais voir les pieds, mais tu les caches pour toi. Je me console de sourires larges et genereux de belles dames qui sont habillees pour te seduire. Et tu sedes, Joel, et je sede. Joli coin dans ta galerie.

les tenues sont belles, gacieuses et élégantes, et ces dames semblent ravies de les porter, telles des petites filles qui adorent se déguiser en princesses.J'envie la taille fine de celle du milieu!Voilà une journée qui doit être bien agréable et joyeuse.

This is an interesting photograph, so it's interesting and impressive to see the ladies who wear traditional clothes in the beauty contest. They all are elegant and attractive. And, it's happy that they all are enjoying this contest, too. Colors and composition are excellent as well as clarity.
