Lagrasse is in the middle of the Corbières mountains, on banks of Orbieu. the area is famous for the wine of Corbières.

The history of the village, is that of the abbey Sainte-Marie de Lagrasse, which was one of most important in France. Charlemagne creates a charter into 779 which is at the origin of the abbey of Lagrasse, rested by the Nimphibius abbot, friend of saint Benoît d'Aniane reformer of the rule bénédictine, even friendly him of Guilhem or Guillaume de Gellone.

An ignored king, from a kingdom not less ignored, was born in Lagrasse: Antoine-Hippolyte Cros, born on May 10th, 1833, died in Asnières in the Seine, on November 1st, 1903. It was the third roi of Araucanie and Patagonie (1902-1903) under the name of Antoine II.

Lagrasse is a French commune, located in the department of the Aude of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 615 Lagrassiens, distributed on 32 km², that is to say 19 hab./km².

Lagrasse is one of the most beautiful villages of France.

Hello Joël,

mangigique facade, de très belle couleur rouge avec de paneua pint, un cadrage parfait, avec le beau port à fleur en bois qui se fond avec les tons du caveau, une bien belle iamge nostagique.

Bonjour Joël,

très jolie façade. Certainement il fonctionne comme une invitation pour que les personnes entrent. L'angle en perspective laisse image dynamique et balancée et l'encadrement fermé fait avec que les attentions se tournent au sujet. Très bonne lumière et couleurs naturelles. Félicitations!

Le sujet est bien cadré. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs de cette facade de magasin originale. L'image est claire et nette. La qualité de la lumière fait ressortir les couleurs. Bonne journée.

j'adore les couleurs et le côté rétro de la vitrine,c'est franchement magnifique,et je trouve que ce serait bien agréable de voir ça plus souvent,pour mettre un peu de gaieté dans nos rues!

una storia che accomuna molto villaggi anche in Italia, nascevano sempre intorno all'abbazia.
hai ragione a dire che è uno dei paesi più belli, lo si evince anche dai dettagli di decoro fuori a questo museo, nota molto interessante

Tu as quitte le motif legendaire du Monastere benedictin de Lagrasse, deja inspiration de plusieurs photographes, pour nous montrer cette devanture qui fait hommage a l'Art nouveau. La devanture bien seduisante par sa forme et ses couleurs pourrait etre inspiration de Claude Aubert, l'editeur de cartes postales Parisien, qui a edite toute une serie des devantures des magasins et bistros, presentees en dessins colores. Tu as choisi la position un peu oblique pour faire voir l'element suspendu a gauche. Belle, belle invitation a ce musee que je n'oublierai pas.Et s'il y avait un chat devant...

effectivement, tu as un faible pour les deventure rouge, mais j'aurais aimé voir une persoone entrer ou sortir pour animer cette photo dont le decors est bien planté.

oui comme tu le précises si bien, Lagrasse est un joli petit village, touristique, avec comme cette boutique 1900 avec un titre qui lui convient, une couleur de boutique qui ne peut passer inaperçu, une très belle photo qui incite à voir tous ces petits villages de France classés

Cette devanture est une réussite. J'aime ce retour sur la déco Art Nouveau. Je pense que la petite promenade proposée doit valoir le détour, surtout si le vin en est la vedette. Ta photo devrait plaire aux propriétaires pour leur pub.

Bonjour Joël,
I always read your Notes to photos with much interest, as well as follow the links to different photos and sites which you add: they help to create a more or less full picture of the place (village, town etc).
I think that such photos like this (showing houses as well) are as important as photos of landscapes: they say a lot about the local life, people, History!
Excellent shot, I like it from this POV (I compare it to the WS version).
