Photographer’s Note

My 300th picture
It is the most prestigious site of the valley of la Vis (Screw) the road which goes down to the bottom is a genuine snail.
At the bottom of the canyon, 300 meters lower than the Causse of Larzac, the Vis fall in cascades to the hamlet of Navacelles.
The village is fixed on the rocks thus respecting a flat-bottomed loop of cultivated fields which surround a small relief of limestones.
The sight is photographed since the Northern View-point which is at an altitude of 613 meters.
I am not on board in a plane nor in a delta plane, but positioned beside the table of orientation of the panorama.

Elle est vraiment fantastique et cette vue plongeante donne une impression bizarre comme si on ne savait plus lire le relief, Pourtant on imagine bien la forme en cuvette et la butte au milieu du méandre abandonné !

What a view. I don’t know where you took this shot. But it does the feeling that you were flying over it. Every thing looks so small. Still very good definition, contrast and color. The perspective here is everything.

300 photos! What a milestone! Congratulations and well done.
You chose an unusual landscape to celebrate. What a strange place; it must be quite an effort for the inhabitants to travel anywhere, even for shopping. You had a fantastic viewpoint from which to take this photo.

I'm seeing that is your 3th century at TE or 300th post and you have here a mistery way you took this great and panoramic detailed shot. By airplane, by flying, with your head in risk and a rope in your feets or by acrobatic support ?!?

This is an impressive view of the valley with the mountain surrounded the basin. I wonder that why this place is not a lake since there is no water outlet from the basin, at least from what we see here.
A nice capture of the beautiful scene. An impressive view of the road way winding all the way from the top to the bottom. A wonderful shot.

Etrange endroit, très photogénique, ces champs verts font un super effet, ils évoque une forme de coeur au "coeur" de cet environnement minéral ... une belle photo dans l'esprit TE, bien vu pour ta 300 ème et bravo !

Quelle sacrée vue plongeante de ce cirque que je prendrai pour un cratère tant il en a la forme. Les bâtiments semblent tout petits au fond de celui-ci. C'est une région que je ne connais pas. Mais la France récèle tant de magnifiques endroits !

This is a comprehensive wide-angle view with an inspiring sight into the valley, where all the slopes make the viewer's eye natually arrive at the man-made elements at the bottom. Bravo pour ta 300ème publication.
Publier un livre de poésie, c'est comme jeter un pétale de rose au fond du Grand Canyon et attendre l'écho.

Ici, à l'inverse d'une poésie l'écho de cette photographie est plutôt bien renvoyé avec cette vue qui nous plonge dans un abîme de beauté fabriqué par Dame nature.
Une image de grande qualité.

Quelle vue pour celebrer ca je vois que tu t'es mis a l'ULM ou au parachutisme...
C'est vraiment vertigineux comme point de vue et la vue fd'aigle sur les petits villages est impressionante, d'autre part le rendu est excellent au vu des condtitions nuageuses.

Bravo pour ta 300 ème. Ça s'arrose !
Tu as pris tous les risques en gravissant la magnifique route qui serpente jusqu'a ton point de vue. Je suis très surpris que trouver ce coté verdoyant dans ce cirque grandiose. Je ne l'ai vu de mes propres yeux qu'en Juillet/Aout et c'était plus brulé.

Spectaculaire ce cirque, surtout de la bonne manière dont tu e prends, il y a aussi ces prairies dans le fond qui le rendent attirant.

Hi Didi,
What an incredible panoramic view of the valley. The lush green of the cultivated field area at the bottom really contrasts well with the harsher landscape. I also like how the eye is lured by the road snaking its way down the mountain. Good DOF allows one to see the distant mountains snuggled against the sky. A worthy post for your 300th. Regards.

Une vue aérienne d'un belvédère c'est extra !
J'aime ces reliefs tourmentés et usés par l'érosion. Le vert ressort bien sur les rochers calcaires. Didi, c'est une photo excellente !
