Photographer’s Note

A shady corner in the little village of Roquebrun to hang the washing out to dry.

Roquebrun is a picturesque hilltop village in the département of Hérault in Southern France. It is located upstream from the village of Cessenon-sur-Orb. The current population is just under 600.

It is famed for its mild Mediterranean micro-climate that allows the local growth of citrus fruits, palm trees, mimosa and cactus. The mainstay of the economy is the production of grapes both fro the table and wine production.
