Photographer's Note

The Canigou is the high eastern summit of the Pyrenees, the Canigou. It is located in the department of Pyrénées-Orientales, and peaks at 2 784.66 meters. Its location offers a fantastic view over the plain of Roussillon, even allowing a clear day, to see Barcelona. This famous peak in the Catalans is also known for its massive house on the abbey of Saint-Martin du Canigou (monestir Sant Martí del Canigó) Priory Serrabone and a set of great hiking trails. The Canigou is the culmination of the Canigou massif which is part of the Network of great sites in France.
