Hello Alex

Good idea to shoot one of these marvelous lanes of Montpellier. Even if it misses the warm colours of the stone, the choice of the B&W gives a special mood to your composition. However, it's a pity that's the sky is too bright.
I tried a WS to reduce this effect. I cropped the top of your picture, to remove a little the sky and thus, give more depth to the street. And I tried a little colorisation, and contrast for an other version to your shot. Hope you don't mind.

Hello Alex.
Successful photograph of an old street of Montpellier.
The different shades of gray restore well the atmosphere of these narrow streets of the south of France, thus built to prevent the sun from entering the houses during heat waves. The sun is quite present, since it inundates the background.
