Photographer’s Note

I saw so many beautiful photos on TE of red sun so I dreamed to see one of them.
Then during my holidays on the pond of Thau (Etang de Thau), I got up three times at 6 am to try my luck. And my patience was rewarded third morning, HE was for the meeting!
Later I was able to sleep quiet!

J’ai vu tant de belles photos sur TE de soleil rouge que je rêvais d’en voir un.
Alors pendant mes vacances sur l’étang de Thau, je me suis levée trois fois à 6 heures pour tenter ma chance.
Et ma patience a été récompensée le troisième matin, il était au rendez-vous !
Après j’ai pu dormir tranquille !

Bonjour Voisine,

Et tu pouvais te rendormir le coeur en paix en effet le résultat est splendide. Parmi beaucoup d'autres qualités, un superbe équilibre dans la la composition, LE reflet du soleil, les couleurs si naturelles et qui claquent dans l'image, ... Très beau

Salut Diane,
et bien ça y est alors, c'est fait! Et bien fait! J'aime beaucoup les tonalités douces qui entourent cette boule de feu. Le reflet du soleil amène aussi un plus. Une belle récompense pour des levers matinaux!

PS: une petite remarque après coup, en voyant la vignette...le soleil est un peu collé contre le cadre mais j'imagine que c'était ça ou tu n'avais pas le reflet qui valait vraiment le coup...

Merci pour l'exploit (se lever à 6h durant les vacances) et surtout pour le résultat : ce soleil comme un fruit offert et qui vient se décomposer dans les eaux calmes de l'étang.

alzarsi presto la mattina ripaga sempre con delle splendide foto, credo che sia uno dei momenti migliori per fare scatti dai colori delicati e dove tutto e' tranquillo.

Bonjour Diane,

In every respect this is a surpassing postcard. It was worth rising early for this red/orange sunrise. The old Maya Indians of Central America believed that the sun set on the west when it was very tired. It was carried across the underworld on a litter; then it rose from the East, rejuvenated. This sun does not appear to slept too well, it still looks a little tired, but what photograph!

La composition est bien sûr très bonne mais j'aime surtout les tons de l'image qui lui donnent son originalité et les petites vaguelettes qui estompent le reflet.

Hello Diane,

Getting up early always a good thing to do when planning on catching beautiful light. Can also be frustrating when that light doesn't show up, but like in this picture the reward is great.
It's so simple, a nice landscape, the sun at the right, a perfect reflection and there you go....you can't miss ;-)
The red line around the sun looks a bit weird, but the colour balance is absolute wonderful.
Lovely shot....thanks for getting up that early....means i'm not the only fool around here ;-)))

Voilà, tu l'as ton soleil rouge ! Et pas des moindres en plus ;o)
Ta pugnacité est récompensée pour notre plus grand plaisir.
C'est toujours un spectacle magique, et j'imagine encore plus dans un tel environnement, si serein.
Les couleurs sont magnifiques, et le reflet, waouh !
Très élégante présentation (il fallait bien ça). J'aime l'effet carte postale de ton encadrement.

c'est une photo toute simple,et pourtant tellement belle!Ce soleil orange et son reflet font un merveilleux contraste avec le bleu qui est lui-même très beau!Tu as été bien récompensée de ton réveil matinal!

je n'ai fait ça qu'une fois au pérou me lever a 5h15 pour avoir un lever de soleil sur le lac titicaca, et je n'avais pas le droit a l'erreur, alors bravo pour ce courage assidu et récompensé, la photo est excellente avec de belles couleurs le cadrage du soleil est nickel, je vais juste chipoter le soleil est trop rond avec un cercle bien marqué pour être vrai, petite erreur de calque? mais une trés belle photo

Hello Diane,
sunsets are so fascinating all over the world, making it very "narrow". So many different locations show always the same magic during the "sun death moment". See (not for points, just for curiosity) the Venetian 2007 Last Sunset to appreciate quite the same atmosphere in a different place.

Diane, Quelle rage d'avoir ce que tu désirais! C'est bien fait, dommage que tu sois allée te coucher ensuite après un tel début de journée!!
Celà dit, c'est très bien avec seulement 3 couleurs, et le soleil qui se détache parfairement sur le ciel un un beau reflet aquatique.

A very similar mood as my recent post, beautiful. I'm grade someone else has one like it, because I was thinking people might just think it's fake that the sun can be that orange and red. minimalist composition, but full of senses of tranqility and peace. I love it.
