_ The CAUSSE of LARZAC is vastest and southernmost of "GRANDS CAUSSES", large causses. Its 1000 km ² of plateau rise from 600 to 900 meters. It is limited to the North-East by Dourbie river which separates it from "Causse Noir", in the North-West the Tarn river separates it from the plateau of Lévézou, in the west it stops with the depression of Roquefort. Its surface is strewn with famous sites with the military orders, Knights of the Order of the Temple and Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem.

_ The GRANDS CAUSSES, in the south of the Massif Central, are delimited in north by the plateau of "Aubrac", in the east by the Cévennes, the south by the plain of the "lodévois", in the west by the plateau of "Lévézou". These are plateaus limestones whose altitude varies from 700 to 1250 meters of altitude, and of surface going up to 1000 km². The "Grands Causses" are formed by important "Causses of Larzac" (1000 km²), of "Sauveterre" (550 km²), "Méjean" (330 km²), and "Noir" (200 km²), but also of the causses "Comtal", "Rouge" and of "Sévérac", and many small peripheral causses like causses of "Mende", "Blandas", "Changefèges", "Bégon", etc… No waterway circulates on the surface of the plates, because the rainwater infiltrates in the karstic, generating networks of many swallow-holes and caves, to re-appear in the valleys. LE CAYLAR in occitan Lo Cailar, is a French municipality, located in the departement of the Herault of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 439 Caylarés in 2009, distributed out of 22.1 km², that is to say 19.9 hab./km².

Le Caylar is mentioned for the first time in 988, in the Will of Saint-Fulcran.

The municipality is close to the parc naturel régional des Grands Causses.

Bonjour Joël,

L'étendue du champ donne de la profndeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs desd arbres et des nuages. La neige réfléchie la lumière qui rehausse les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Bonjour Joel,

Vous avez reçu une bonne bordée. Chez nous , l'hiver joue au yoyo avec nous. Un jour, il tombe 60 centimètres et le lendemain, il pleut. C'est beau cette belle croute blanche qui recouvre le paysage contrastant avec le gris du ciel.

hai colto un bel paesaggio innevato al quale l'ombra in primo piano dà un vigore particolare.
Bello il cielo grigio che contrasta con la luce del sole. Ottima la nitidezza e appropriato il contrasto.

Bonsoir Joël,

L'endroit est rêvé pour une balade en raquettes ! Beau contraste entre le ciel sombre et la neige d'un blanc immaculé, l'ombre de l'arbre, au premier plan, est bien vue, également !

Tes trois photos sont assez semblables; tu veux nous faire jouer au jeu des 7 erreurs? Cet arbre penché dans ce champ de neige sur fond de ciel gris méritait bien cette mise en vedette.

The long shadows on the snow are connected to the lonely tree as a composition. The tree is nicely placed in the picture. This looks like a very pleasant and sunny winter day!

Hello Joel - A gentle landscape which shows off the beautiful details in the sky and contrasting sunlit snow very well. I like the composition very much and can see you have taken care with it; the shadow across the diagonal draws the eye towards the tree and also emphasises the gradient of the upward gradient of the slope. I believe that only due to its comparatively high altitude this plateau in the South France is so beautifully covered with snow and we can enjoy such a wonderful winter scene. Excellent composition, perfectly represented winter atmosphere, amazing light and shadows, nicely clouded sky and very high quality of the picture!

Trois belles présentation, la 1 me plaît bien avec la vue a moitié de l'arbre, celle ci aussi avec le feuillages sur le haut, l'ombre sur le sol enneigée, baignée par une belle lumière, un fond de toile gris, magnifique
