Charming merry-go-round, La Grande-Motte

In la Grande-Motte, The absence of wind, the soft temperature, the sun, the calm sea, attracted number of inhabitants of the hinterland, and have made happy the still present tourists.

La Grande-Motte is a sea resort and a marina, built from 1960 till the end of 1970s. The resort is known for its pyramidal architecture, and renowned for its period of sunshine.

LA GRANDE-MOTTE is a french commune, located in the department of the Herault of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 8 391 Grand-Mottois in 2009, distributed on 10.6 km², that is to say 793.6 hab./km².

The municipality is near the parc naturel régional de Camargue.

Bonsoir Joël,
J'adore ton premier plan et cette analogie entre la jeune femme et le manège. Dans les deux cas, ça fait tourner la tête ! Belle prise de vue bien composée, sous un soleil radieux et un ciel d'azur comme le sud sait en offrir.

A clever composition with the scantily clad lady in the bottom corner making an excellent lead-line toward the carousel, which is nicely placed off-centre. Technical quality is superb.

The young lady sun-bathing on sand, telling this is a sea-shore scenery, Joel.
Fine perspective over the carousel, backdrop of modern building's, and wonderful bright daylight.
Collected well the late summer's ambiance.

La distance entre la femme et le carrousel donne de l;a profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs du carrousel. La bonne luminosité rehausse les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Beau temps, en effet, pour profiter de la plage, les adeptes du bronzage sont moins nombreuses, ce qui facilite d'autant le cadrage ;0)

mais on voit bien ton manege Joel... et il n'est pas fait que de chevaux!!;-)
pour avoir attendu longtemps autour de ce manege, je ne trouve pas que ce soit la meilleure vue à moins que le sujet de la photo ne soit pas là?....;-)

Ah la grande Motte ce n'est pas un endroit que je préfère mais c'est a voir!! je parle des bâtiments :-))et de ce merveilleux carrousel enchanteur qui semble bien attirée par la dame couché sur le sable :-)

A wonderful image of these fascinating combination of different elements, with a decent composition. There is a great color saturation, with a unique combination of the blue, wite, beige and dark. The lady on the beach and the carousel are in perfect focus and the overall composition is beautifully enhanced with the excellent light contrast. Well done.

You're capturing well this sea resort by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see a classic merry-go-round with good design and horse vehicle, power sands and pyramidal architecture with white wall at right side. And, the child who has lain down on sands gives a good impact in this image.
