Photographer’s Note

The Organ of Ille-sur-Tet was carved at the time of the depression of the Pyrenees, by the river Têt, nature has also artistic gifts.
They have to disappear with time, because they are the fruit of the erosion and the passage of the man.

I published there three years ago a slide of this site photographed in 1999. You can compare the difference with this one.

Hallo Didi!
This is an extraordinary picture. The light at the rocks is very favourable and their colours are hard to believe. The composition which lets the rocks grow out of the green forest make this picture even more impressive. Thank you for showing this beautiful view!

Trés belle image, j'aime les lignes entremèlées entre les strates horizontales de couleurs différentes et l'érosion verticale. Cadrage trés réussi. La comparaison avec ton ancienne diapo et trés intéressante.

Bon soir Didi, this is a splendid rendition of the Orgues. The light suits this natural arrangement very well and due to the way you composed it together with the shrubbery and excellent textures of the rock, is a great natural graphims. Congrats!

Vraiment impressionant. Moi qui croyais que ces formations étaient seulement présentent aux USA. Tu as raison, c'est exactement similaire a ce que j'ai vu le mois dernier. La netteté est nickel et le cadrage est au poil. Superbe prise.

J'ai cru que tu étais allé dans l'Utah à Bryce Canyon en voyant cette photo. Cela me rappelle mon passage là-bas il y a pas mal d'années. J'ignorais que nous avions une telle merveille en France. Très belle prise bien composée. Merci du partage.

Bonjour, mon ami Didi,
Stalagmites géantes à l'air libre ! Tuyaux d'orgue qui quand le vent souffle doit émettre des musiques venues d'ailleurs !
J'ai fait la comparaison avec la diapo et la photo d'aujourd'hui. La qualité des diapositives n'avait rien à envier au numérique.
Une très belle prise de vue (tableau vivant de la nature).

Bonjour Saïd,
Je préfère cette vue à la précédente. Les dons artistiques de la nature nous époustouflent souvent par les formes, les couleurs et souvent par l'émotion qui se dégage des tableaux qu'elle nous offre !
J'aime bien ce cadrage ou le minéral est souligné par le végétal, bonne idée..

Lovely title for the erosion of these rocks, very nice details, you did very well the small green part on bottom to take, this gives a extra colour contrast, very well done!

Ces orgues sont magnifiquement mises en valeur ici par la lumière qui n'écrase pas trop les rochers. Belle prise, Didi!

The marvellous formation is well seen in this photo, with good clarity. The greenery in the foreground nicely contrasts and helps balance the massive rock. This shot is certainly an improvement on the slide, and an interesting comparison. Well captured, Didi.

La nature est quand même bien faite et nous offre de beaux spectables. Cette image en est la preuve.
Un joli cadrage de sculptures naturelle. Les couleurs sont belles servies par une bonne lumière. Belle composition instructive.

What I like about the image is the angle of lighting, getting the best out of the rock structures...

The geology is certainly fascinating and beautiful. The light enhances the texture of the rock. I like how you used the foliage as a frame at the bottom.

Bonjour Didi.
On peut regretter le ciel bleu mais cette photo y gagne en nuances dans les couleurs de la roche. La nature met son temps mais elle fait des merveilles, ces œuvres d'art dureront certainement plus que celles des hommes.
