Photographer’s Note
The Canal du Midi makes it possible to circulate of the Atlantic in the Mediterranean. 240 km length out of 10 m broad, it connects the Garonne to the Mediterranean, of Toulouse with SETE.
Its construction started in 1661 pennies the reign of Louis XIV to finish in 1681.
It was classified on UNESCO's list World Cultural Heritage Sites in 1996.
Here at the end of the year 2004, a sight of the Channel of the South crossing HOMPS, small remarkable city of the Country Cathare (Corbières and Minervois).

Belle image de ce canal très célèbre. J'aime bien les couleurs vives des bâteaux sous ce ciel chargé. Bien vu!

20 ans à l'epoque poue construire cette petite merveille, c'est une prouesse.
un ciel menaçant, et des bateaux de couleur pour colorer la scène.
