There is a long tradition from Matisse, Picasso, Salvador Dali and many more to paint in Collioure.

Good motif then this painter in the pre summer doing his work of the old church where the bell tower in former days was a lighthouse.

Enjoy.. just back from a fine week in the South

great POV, the leaves of the palm tree frames perfectly the painter as well as the clock tower of Collioure .

I infer therefore that you are currently at Collioure.

Hello Jack,

Your vantage point is ideal here, showing the artist, his subject and his creation. The hanging branches from a palm help to hold the image together. That is quite a collection of great artists to have painted in Collioure.

Tu as su compensé ce ciel laiteux en le cachant par ces branches sombres et par des couleurs dans le bas de l'image. J'aime bien le cadrage qui permet de voir la peinture et ce qui est peint !

Bonjour, mon ami Jack,
Je reste admiratif devant les peintres qui travaillent sur site. Il y a à voir le tableau une interprétation toute personnelle de la vue de l'édifice quant aux couleurs et au ciel !
J'apprécie beaucoup l'originalité de cette composition.
