Photographer’s Note

The Causse Méjean is a vast calcareous expanse, made grandiose by the simplicity of the landscape. It's a dry land, full of life despite its peeled appearance. The vegetation on the Causse gives the landscape a desert-like appearance.
The Causse Mejean is the highest of the four Grands Causses with an altitude of over 1000 meters above sea level. It's the most barren and isolated with spectacular overlooks on scenic canyons of Tarn and Jonte Rivers. It's also the home of numerous soaring vultures.
