Photographer’s Note

A closer on the Vicontal castle.
Our symphatic guide told that during the wars, the besieded deffenders launched from top of the ramparts enormous stone boulders on the attackers to slow down the invasion.
However the stock of boulders was not inexhaustible, the volunteers were office designed to recover the stock during the night.
Many soldiers never came back.

On my right a sight of the Old Bridge arches which crosses the Aude river.
