Stained glass windows in the choir (13th – 19th centuries)St.Nazire church in Carcassonne.

The choir is illuminated by five stained glass windows. The central window depicting Christ is surrounded by two windows dating from the 16th century. The columns in the apse and the choir carried 22 statues representing the apostles, Christ, the Virgin and various saints. Many changes were made to the cathedral throughout the 17th century. Under the influence of Italian architecture, bishop Louis Joseph de Grignan (1679 - 1722) ordered the construction of a "Roman" choir with a marble altar surrounded by forged iron grills decorated with his coats of arms. Hello Barbara,
nice the interior view from the stained glass windows of the charch with the details and the shapes to are excelelnt captured.I like the light and the colour management as the clarity of the image.

piekny oltarz i witraze.Gotyckie swiatynie maja w sobie cos niepowtarzalnego.Znakomicie uchwycony kadr.Jakosc obrazu super.Ostrosc,swiatlo,naturalnie odwzorowane kolory sprawiaja,ze mozemy podziwiac zdjecie ze wszystkimi detalami.Nie wiem czy bedac w Barcelonie udalo ci sie zwiedzic tamtejsza gotycka Katedre.Rowniez imponujaca.

What a breath taking view of the altar. It rises, and converges as it rises, accentuating the height. The available light is beautifully managed, with the predominant browns creating a surpassing majesty.

You are quickly becoming a master of church photography. The light here has been managed so perectly. I like the vertical cut and the low POV, which accentuates the height of the ceiling and those marvellous windows. The stained glass has been exposed superbly. A marvellous shot, one to be very proud of.

very sweet stained glass window photo.
what i really like more though, is the lighting along the bottom of the frame. its as if there is a spotlight looking down from above just for you :)
there is elegance and sophistication in this scene, well captured.

a great interior shot that presents the architecture and the suggestive atmosphere of the antique church in an impressive way. You've used the vertical frame in a most effective way to enhance the architectural features and offer a very good sense of height. Depth is superb as well. I love the luminosity and colours of the stained glass and the soft lighting and shadows on and around the altar. Sharpness is excellent doing justice to your great composition and lighting.
