Photographer’s Note

He began to work before 14.
Now he is over eighty, is retired for years. But he never really stops working.
This morning, he was at the May 1st demonstration.

Il a commencé à travailler avant 14 ans comme carrossier tôlier.
A plus de 80 ans, il est à la retraite depuis longtemps, mais ne s'est jamais vraiment arrêté de travailler. La plupart du temps en plaisantant, en sifflant ou en chantant.
Ce matin, il était au défilé du 1er mai.

Un bel hommage en noir et blanc aux travailleurs en ce premier mai.
Un cadrage serré qui fait vivre cette image.

bonjour Pascal,
un travailleur... qui surgit hors de la nuit, pour compléter le titre.
bel hommage aux travailleurs avec cet homme qui n'a pas réussi à quitter les outils bien après la retraite.
Le noir et blanc sied bien à cette image, avec cette flamme sur la droite.

Un toute belle image de ce traviailleur, quel beua cpatage, en NB, de rès, avec le détail, le feu qui fait tout blanc, superbe.

Pascal,
This is a very nice daily life image showing just our average worker hard at work. the close up though is affective, it put us right there. But I think we can appreciate him a little more if you back out just little to get more of his face and his concentration on his work. I like the black and white it work well here. Merci Beaucoup.

Very good close approach, Pascal. Maybe too close which is something I never complain in photopgraphy. The details are great although I feel some lack of more context - that bright fire makes me want to step back a little. Still and excellent daily life capture from the 1st of May.
