why the hell do the French enjoy so many old bridges still intact, with smooth waters to reflect them? Do we require too much work from our German rivers and streams?

Bonjour Jean,

Le magnifique pont en pierre donne beaucoup de charme et d’élégance à cet endroit, qui ne serait pas si beau sans il! J’aime surtout des reflets magnifiquement bien capturés. Mais, il y a un petit bemol, on distingue un frange rouge d'aberrations chromatique…

A very fine catch through the arcades of the old bridge. The colors along the river are like a hidden prize for the watcher. Good composition.

A rather stunning and somewhat idyllic image, I like the way you can imagine yourself sitting looking and enjoying the view with the bridge and water effect as main interests while specks of bold colors put it in context. Just love a stillness to it, the compo and rich tones. It's nicely presented. Congrats

yes, without a doubt water reflections are a popular breed here on TE, but for good reason - they are so much fun to photograph, and fun to view.
In fact, i didn't even notice the people in the photo as i was solely focused in on the reflections and the arches!
its also a fine piece of man made architecture.
